Run for the Ribbons 5K and Family Fun 1K is a community fitness event that will kick-off a colorful day of cancer awareness, survivor celebration and exciting horse racing at the 60th Stoneybrook Steeplechase. Carolina Horse Park Foundation and The Foundation of FirstHealth are partnering to raise awareness and proceeds for Moore Regional Hospital Foundation’s Cancer CARE Fund.

Located near the Southern Pines/Pinehurst/Aberdeen area, the Carolina Horse Park will provide participants of all ages and abilities the unique experience of running or walking a 5K or 1K on a steeplechase track, racing just like the horses later in the day! Both events will recognize local cancer survivors and provide all runners and walkers an opportunity to participate in honor or memory of family and friends affected by cancer. Colorful Ribbons of Hope will be distributed to show support and highlight the leading cancers diagnosed and treated in the Sandhills region.
