The Run for the Ribbons 5K and Family Fun 1K is a colorful day of spirited competition, cancer awareness, survivor celebration and exhilarating horse racing at the renowned Stoneybrook Steeplechase. Runners and walkers in each event participate in honor or memory of family and friends, and all proceeds benefit The Foundation of FirstHealth's Cancer CARE Fund.

The 5K begins and ends on the grassy racetrack, transitioning through a scenic, rolling woods eventing course. The Family Fun 1K travels one lap around the steeplechase track. Both events will recognize local cancer survivors, and colorful Ribbons of Hope are distributed to show support and highlight the leading cancers diagnosed and treated in the Sandhills region.

Registration fees include a T-shirt as well as admission to the Stoneybrook Steeplechase races starting at 1:30 p.m.
